The Hull Story
From a very early age I fell in love with boating and being on the water. I also love working with my hands. Before getting into the boat world, I was a metal fabricator specializing in extreme precision. The skills I developed and my love for the water set me up perfectly to step into the boat world. Since 2016, I have been servicing and repairing Lake Tahoe's and Sacramento's premier boats while working for one of the region's largest boat dealers. I have received factory training and certifications from Volvo Penta, Cobalt, as well as Yamaha. My experience does not stop there as I am comfortable working on anything from my own 1974 Century Resorter, to the newest surf boats, and everything in between. I have been caught on the water in some of the worst weather nature has to offer, and I have seen some of the best days which remind me why we boat. I understand boating and everything it comes with. When you come to Star Bird Marine, you've come to the right side.
The Tale of the Bird
Aye, then gather 'round and lend an eye, For here’s how Star Bird Marine came to fly.
Not born of compass, chart, nor tide, But from a lark the sea supplied.

A lady fair once heard her mate Speak starboard in their boating fate.
But what she caught, in winds that stirred, Was not the side — but a Star Bird.

And thus was born a name so bold, With wings outstretched and stories told.
A seabird strong, with noble flight, Guiding vessels day and night.

They patch your hull, they mend your mast, They fix it right — and fix it fast.
They come to you through fog and spray, To chase the helmsman’s dread away.

So if your ship be bruised or worn, And you curse the day she once was born
Call on the bird, the one that’s true, That flies on wings of navy blue.

Star Bird Marine — from jest it came, But earned its stripes in skill and name.
A little wink, a sailor’s nod, And work that’s worthy of the sea and God.
